RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has launched an electronic portal to facilitate the entry and movement of tourist yachts in the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser on Sunday launched the “Ebhar” platform that unifies all government procedures and information from 20 government agencies, including yacht registration services, procedures for entering and leaving the country, sailing permits, issuance of navigational licenses, and registration of yachts under the Saudi flag.
‘Bright future for the yacht market’
During the launch ceremony, held at the Jeddah Yacht Club, Al-Jasser underscored the bright future of the yacht market, which is expected to grow 19.4 percent annually from 2022 to 2028.
He said KSA was significantly expanding its coastal and marine assets, including developing new destinations like NEOM, Amala, and the Red Sea project.
