RIYADH: The Saudi aid agency has launched its aid distribution project for 2026 in N’Djamena, Chad, benefiting 200,000 people.
The project by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) fulfills the Kingdom’s pledge announced at the 2024 Donors’ Conference to Support Displaced Persons and Refugees in the Sahel and Lake Chad Region in Jeddah, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
The launch event was attended by Chargé d’Affaires of the Saudi Embassy, Mohammed Al-Salem, and representatives from global and local aid organisations.
The initiative aims to distribute 61,915 integrated food baskets across 14 states, reaching 200,000 beneficiaries—including vulnerable families, internally displaced persons, and individuals affected by humanitarian crises.
This important project underscores the Kingdom’s leading humanitarian role and its continued commitment to supporting friendly nations and easing the suffering of the most vulnerable populations in crisis-affected areas.
