Saudi Arabia Jumps 17 Ranks in Logistics Performance Index 2023

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has achieved a significant jump of 17 ranks in the World Bank’s Logistics Performance Index (LPI) 2023, according to an announcement made by the Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Eng. Saleh Bin Nasser Al-Jasser.

The jump was achieved due to the support and empowerment of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, Eng. Al-Jasser said.

The Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services stated that Saudi Arabia’s progress in the index by 17 ranks was achieved within less than two years since the launch of the national strategy for transportation and logistics services.

The ministry is committed to continuing to move forward to consolidate the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub, in accordance with the national strategy for transportation and logistics services, under the directives of Saudi Arabia’s leadership.

The Logistics Performance Index is an important measure of the logistical suitability of 155 countries. It consists of qualitative and quantitative measures that help create data files on suitability in those countries.

This achievement will significantly enhance Saudi Arabia’s reputation as an attractive destination for international trade and logistics.

Saudi Arabia’s transportation and logistics infrastructure

This achievement is a testament to the Kingdom’s continued efforts to develop its transportation and logistics infrastructure, which has been a key focus area in the Vision 2030 program.
