MAKKAH, Saudi Arabia: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance broadcast over 900,000 awareness and guidance messages to pilgrims through 75 digital screens installed inside Al-Khayf Mosque in Mina, as part of its efforts to promote religious awareness among pilgrims, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The SPA reported that the messages included guidance on properly performing the Hajj rituals, etiquette in the Grand Mosque and holy sites, answers to key religious questions, as well as awareness messages on public health, safety, and organization.
Multiple languages
They were delivered in multiple languages to ensure they reached the widest possible audience of pilgrims from various nationalities, according to the SPA.
The efforts are part of the ministry’s awareness and media plan for the 1446H Hajj season, aimed at providing high-quality guidance services that facilitate the performance of rituals, reinforcing Islamic values, and reflecting the leadership’s commitment to serving pilgrims and using modern technology to achieve that goal, the SPA reported.
