RIYADH: Saudi Arabia, Iran, and China reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the Beijing Agreement during a meeting held in Tehran on Tuesday.

The third meeting of the Saudi-Chinese-Iranian Joint Tripartite Committee to follow up on the Beijing Agreement was chaired by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi, with the participation of the Saudi delegation headed by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji and the Chinese delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Miao Deyu.

The Saudi and Iranian sides “affirmed their commitment to implementing the Beijing Agreement in its entirety, and their continued pursuit of strengthening good neighborly relations between their countries through adherence to the Charter of the United Nations, the Charter of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and international law,” the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Saudi Arabia and Iran welcomed China’s ongoing constructive role and its continued support in implementing the Beijing Agreement.

China, in turn, reiterated its readiness to support and encourage efforts by both Riyadh and Tehran to further develop their bilateral relations across various sectors.

The three nations acknowledged the steady progress in Saudi-Iranian relations and the wide-ranging opportunities it presents, SPA reported.

The participants also welcomed the progress of consular services between the two countries, which enabled more than 85,000 Iranian pilgrims to perform Hajj and more than 210,000 Iranians to perform Umrah with ease and security during 2025.

The three countries expressed their intention to expand cooperation across multiple areas, including economic and political sectors. They also highlighted the importance of regional dialogue and collaboration among neighboring nations to enhance security, stability, peace, and economic prosperity.

They also called for an immediate cessation of Israeli aggressions in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, and condemned any actions undermining Iran’s territorial integrity.

Iran expressed its appreciation for the explicit stances by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China during the aggression.
