RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority of Foreign Trade, is hosting a Regional Trade Policy Course for Middle Eastern countries, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

Organized in collaboration with the World Trade Organization (WTO) and King Saud University, the course will take place from October 13 to December 5.

This eight-week program is designed for government officials from the region, aimed at facilitating the exchange of information and expertise while enhancing communication. Participants will deepen their understanding of the economic and legal dimensions of WTO rules, regulations, and procedures.

Hosting this course reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening the competencies and capabilities of trade policymakers in the region. By equipping participants with knowledge of international standards and foreign trade regulations, Saudi Arabia seeks to contribute to sustainable development, improve the business environment, and bolster economic stability in the Middle East.

The WTO’s choice of Saudi Arabia as the host country underscores its vital role in promoting both regional and international trade.
