MADINAH: Saudi Arabia’s Tawafa Company Al-Rajhi, engaged by the Government of Pakistan to provide services to Pakistani Hajj pilgrims, has been honoured by the government of Saudi Arabia for its phenomenal service.

The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah presented a certificate of excellence to the company in recognition of its outstanding performance.

After the award ceremony, Chairman of Tawafa Company Al-Rajhi, Bandar Al-Rajhi, met with Pakistan’s Director General (DG) Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro.

Soomro expressed his pleasure at the recognition received by Tawafa Company Al-Rajhi. “I am deeply grateful to Tawafa Company Al-Rajhi for their sincere service to Pakistani pilgrims,” he stated.

He also expressed hope that Al-Rajhi Company would raise the bar for service and facilitation during the 2025 Hajj operation.

“Pakistani pilgrims will be provided with the best facilities under Al-Rajhi’s management during the Mashair days of Hajj,” he added.

Meanwhile, the early distribution of Nusuk Cards to Pakistani pilgrims is already underway as part of preparations for the Mashair services.

In celebration of receiving the Excellence Award, Tawafa Company organized visits to historic Islamic sites in Madinah Al-Munawwarah for pilgrims residing in three designated hotels. Fourteen dedicated buses were deployed to ensure smooth transportation for the Pakistani pilgrims.

Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has urged intending pilgrims to uphold the national image during the Hajj journey by strictly following Saudi laws.

This year, the annual pilgrimage is expected to take place in June, with nearly 90,000 Pakistanis set to travel to Saudi Arabia under the government scheme, while an additional 23,620 pilgrims will perform Hajj through private tour operators.

While the exact number of pilgrims for Hajj 2025 is yet to be confirmed, early projections indicate it could be a record-breaking year, with more than 2.5 million pilgrims expected to participate.
