GAZA: The Saudi aid agency has distributed vital relief assistance to displaced persons (DPs) camps in the southern Gaza Strip affiliated with SOS Children’s Villages, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The SOS villages provide care for hundreds of children who have lost one or both parents.
The aid package by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) included basic food baskets and infant formula packs, reflecting the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate suffering in the Gaza Strip.
The Saudi Centre for Culture and Heritage, in collaboration with KSrelief and the administration of SOS Villages, coordinated the distribution of aid to ensure fair and organised delivery, addressing the vital needs of children and their families.
Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude for the ongoing support, describing the assistance as a renewed source of hope amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
KSrelief has established an air and sea bridge that has so far delivered 68 aircraft and eight ships carrying more than 7,630 tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials.
In addition, 20 ambulances have been provided to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, along with comprehensive logistical support.
KSrelief signed agreements worth over $90 million with international organizations for relief projects inside Gaza and has participated in airdrop operations with Jordan to ensure aid delivery despite crossing closures.
