RIYADH: Saudi aid agency, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed 1,536 food baskets in Yemen’s Hadhramaut Governorate.

The initiative befitted 10752 individuals as part of the 2026 food basket project in the country, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

The programme is part of the ongoing relief and humanitarian projects carried out by the Kingdom through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief). The effort aims to help meet essential food needs and provide support to the most vulnerable and affected families across various governorates in Yemen.

Through such initiatives, KSrelief seeks to alleviate the suffering of communities facing severe humanitarian challenges caused by ongoing crises and economic hardship. The assistance includes the distribution of food baskets and essential supplies to ensure that struggling families have access to basic nutrition and daily necessities.

These programmes are implemented in coordination with local authorities and humanitarian partners to ensure that aid reaches those most in need in a timely and efficient manner. The initiative also reflects the Kingdom’s continued commitment to supporting the Yemeni people and improving living conditions in affected areas.

KSrelief has carried out numerous humanitarian projects in Yemen, including food security programmes, medical assistance, shelter support, and water and sanitation initiatives. These efforts aim to enhance stability, reduce suffering, and support long-term humanitarian recovery for vulnerable communities.
