MAKKAH: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) has deployed over 150 ambulance units, strategically positioned across all pilgrim routes during the Hajj season.
The units are overseen by specialized field teams dedicated to ensuring immediate response and efficient management of any emergency, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
More than 300 paramedics and specialist staff units, supported by 150 ambulances equipped with the latest medical technology, are ready to deliver essential emergency care.
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining these services until the departure of the last pilgrim from the Kingdom.
This initiative highlights Saudi Arabia’s dedication to delivering top-quality healthcare to pilgrims, in line with the directives of its wise leadership, which places a high priority on serving pilgrims and safeguarding the sanctity of the holy sites.
According to the Saudi General Directorate of Passports, as of the end of Thursday, a total of 1,330,845 pilgrims have arrived from abroad through all of the Kingdom’s ports. Of these, 1,260,874 pilgrims entered via airports, 64,883 through land ports, and 5,088 arrived by sea.
The directorate reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating smooth and efficient entry procedures for the pilgrims by equipping its platforms with the latest technological systems.
