RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has condemned the targeting of vital facilities and infrastructure in Port Sudan and Kassala in the Republic of Sudan.
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement on Sunday, said such acts represent a threat to regional stability as well as Arab and African national security.
“The Kingdom calls for an immediate end to the war in Sudan and urges the protection of the Sudanese people and the prevention of further suffering and destruction,” it said.
The ministry reaffirmed that the solution to the crisis lies in a Sudanese-Sudanese political resolution that respects Sudan’s sovereignty and unity and supports the institutions of the Sudanese state.
