RIYADH: Saudi Arabia strongly denounced the Israeli forces continued “genocidal massacres against the Palestinian people without deterrence” by attacking the tents of defenseless Palestinian refugees in Rafah.

The Kingdom held the Israeli authorities accountable for the violence occurring in Rafah and across occupied Palestinian territories, read a statement issued by the foreign ministry.

Gaza health authorities reported that Israeli tank shelling had killed at least 21 Palestinians in a refugee camp, in what was supposed to be a civilian evacuation area.

Despite an appeal from the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Israeli tanks advanced into Rafah after a night of heavy bombardment. Meanwhile, Spain, Ireland, and Norway formally recognized a Palestinian state, further isolating Israel on the international stage.

Saudi Arabia reiterated the Israeli forces’ flagrant disregard for international and humanitarian laws, stating that the silence of the international community only exacerbates the dire humanitarian situation faced by Palestinians.

“The Kingdom stresses the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop the massacres against the Palestinian people and hold those responsible accountable,” the statement concluded

Similarly, the Muslim World League condemned the ongoing massacres perpetrated by Israeli forces against Palestinians.
