RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation’s decision to approve the building of 3,500 new settlement units in the occupied West Bank, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
According to the SPA, the Saudi Foreign Ministry in a statement condemned the attempt to annex wide areas of the West Bank, including Al-Quds (Jerusalem).
It said that such action violates all international resolutions, United Nations resolutions and international human-rights law, and hinder the path to peace and stability in the region.
Additionally, the Kingdom reaffirmed the importance of ending the suffering of the Palestinian people, enabling them to secure their rights to live safely and establishing Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
