RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s cabinet on Tuesday called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and condemned actions that undermine the two-state solution, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, chaired the cabinet session held in Riyadh on Tuesday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

During the Crown Prince briefed the cabinet on the message he received from Russian President Vladimir Putin and on his meeting with the State of Palestine Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the session, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said the cabinet reviewed key regional and international developments, placing particular emphasis on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

It highlighted the Kingdom’s continued efforts to engage with the international community to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and ensure the unimpeded delivery of relief aid through established international mechanisms.

The cabinet also emphasised the importance of the recent joint statement by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Italy, which reaffirmed their shared commitment to achieving a just, secure, and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

The statement called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and condemned actions that undermine the two-state solution.

On the domestic front, the cabinet commended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for his patronage of the upcoming ninth Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference.

Scheduled to take place in Riyadh from October 27 to 30, 2025, the event will focus on harnessing investment to build a prosperous and sustainable future for humanity, under the theme “The Key to Prosperity.”
