RIYADH: The Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia has commended the competent authorities in the Sultanate of Oman for their prompt and efficient handling of the shooting incident near the Wadi Al Kabir region in the Governorate of Muscat, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The incident resulted in the death of a police officer and several individuals, while others were wounded.
The ministry in the statement said Saudi Arabia stands in solidarity with Oman, expressing sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims. The Kingdom also wishes a speedy recovery for the wounded.
Earlier, the Arab League had strongly condemned the shooting incident in Oman’s capital.
In a statement, the Arab League has affirmed its solidarity with Oman’s actions to maintain its stability and security. The Arab League also expressed sincere condolences to the Omani government, people, and the families of the victims. According to the statement, it wished the injured a full and speedy recovery.
