RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has taken a significant diplomatic step by appointing Nayef Al-Sudairi, the current ambassador to Jordan, as a non-resident ambassador for the Palestinian Territories. Al-Sudairi will also concurrently serve as the consul general for Jerusalem, according to an announcement made by the Saudi Foreign Ministry on Saturday.
In a ceremonial event held at the Palestinian Embassy in Amman, Al-Sudairi formally presented his credentials to Majdi Al-Khalidi, diplomatic affairs advisor to the Palestinian President. This move marks a notable commitment by Saudi Arabia to strengthen its relations with the Palestinian people and the State of Palestine.
