RIYADH: The Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia revealed on Monday that tourists holding valid UK, US, and Schengen tourism visas, as well as permanent residents from any EU country, can now enjoy streamlined entry into the Kingdom by applying for an instant e-visa through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
In a bid to facilitate entry for eligible individuals, the Ministry has made an exception for holders of valid tourism or business visas from the US, UK, or any Schengen state, as long as the visa has been utilized at least once to enter the issuing country.
This exception extends entry privileges to the visa holder’s immediate family members, as well as those who hold permanent residence status in the US, EU, or UK. Furthermore, permanent residents can now provide their first-degree relatives with access to the Kingdom through an upon-arrival visa at any air, land, or sea port.
Regulation to Facilitate Access to Saudi Arabia
The revised tourism visa regulations align with the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility to Saudi Arabia, enabling visitors to explore its diverse tourism destinations, partake in tourism events, and delve into the rich heritage and historical significance of the Kingdom.
Emphasizing the importance of adherence to laws and instructions, the amended regulations require individuals to carry identification documents at all times while in the country.
It is important to note that tourism visas do not grant their holders the right to perform Hajj or Umrah during the pilgrimage season, as reiterated by the Ministry.
