Saudi Arabia and UAE Extend Condolences as Kuwait Mourns Emir’s Passing

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman have expressed their condolences to the people of Kuwait and the Al-Sabah royal family following the death of Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah on Saturday.

In a statement released by the Saudi Royal Court, the leaders conveyed their grief and sorrow, and prayed for the departed soul of the late Emir.

The statement further noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands in solidarity with Kuwait, sharing in the sorrows of the Kuwaiti people.

UAE Declares Three-Day Mourning in Honor of Kuwait’s Late Emir

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) also joined in mourning the passing of Emir Sheikh Nawaf, declaring a three-day mourning period in his honor. The UAE Presidential Court issued a statement expressing condolences and recognizing the Emir’s significant contributions.

In Egypt, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi offered condolences and acknowledged Sheikh Nawaf as a major supporter of Arab and Islamic nations. The late Emir’s role in fostering support for the Arab and Islamic causes was highlighted by President El Sisi, emphasizing the loss felt by the entire Arab world.
