MADRID, Spain: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, met with Spain’s Minister of State for Energy, Sara Aagesen Munoz, to deepen bilateral cooperation in the mining sector.
The meeting, which included Saudi Ambassador to Spain, Princess Haifa Al Muqrin, focused on encouraging Spanish companies to invest in Saudi Arabia’s growing mining industry.
Alkhorayef emphasized the long-standing economic and trade partnership between the two nations and highlighted Spain as a key partner in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals. He described mining as a critical component of the Kingdom’s economic transformation and invited Spanish firms to explore untapped opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s mining sector.
The talks reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to enhancing cooperation, with Alkhorayef noting that Saudi Arabia has introduced several initiatives to attract international investment. Both parties expressed optimism about future collaborations in mining and other strategic sectors.
The meeting concluded with both sides pledging to continue strengthening their economic ties.
