Saudi Arabia and Rwanda to Foster Partnership in Digital Technology, Innovative Fields

RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Rwanda on Friday agreed to further strengthen their partnership in the fields of digital technology, information technology, communications, and innovations.

The Rwanda Minister of Communications, IT, and Innovation, Paula Ingabire, who is currently on a visit to the Kingdom on Friday, met with the Saudi Deputy Minister for IT and Communications, Haitham bin Abdurrahman Al-Ohali.

Deemah Al-Yahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), also attended the meeting.

Both sides discussed ways to further expand partnership and cooperation in the fields of technological, digital, and innovations.

The meeting also reviewed different aspects of developing relations between the two countries. As the Republic of Rwanda actively participates in DCO initiatives; therefore, the meeting placed special emphasis on cooperation in the field of the digital economy. — SPA/APP
