Saudi Arabia and Indonesia Discuss Ways to Combat Extremist Ideology

ISLAMABAD/RIYADH: Saudi and Indonesian top security officials have discussed ways to fight extremist ideology being faced by both important Muslim nations.

Saudi Arabia’s International Centre for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal)’s Secretary-General Dr Mansour Al-Shammari received Indonesian National Counter-Terrorism Agency’s head, Commissioner General Boy Rafli Amar, and his delegation.

Combating extremist ideology

During the meeting, which was held at Etidal’s headquarters in Riyadh, the two sides discussed ways to collaborate and exchange experiences in the field of combating extremist ideology.

The Indonesian delegation was briefed about a monitoring and analysis mechanism, the models that are built and developed within Etidal, and the advanced technologies in the field, and center’s efforts in combating extremist ideology and its societal initiatives. APP
