Saudi Ambassador, Norwegian Special Representative Discuss Palestinian Cause

AMMAN: The Norwegian Special Representative to the Middle East Peace Process, Hilde Haraldstad, called on Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Jordan, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi on Wednesday.

As per details, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi welcomed Norwegian Special Representative Hilde Haraldstad, Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan Espen Lindbeck, and their accompanying delegation at the embassy in Amman.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the Saudi Arabia and Norway.

They also discussed the most recent developments around the Palestinian cause and regional matters.

Saudi Ambassador Meets UN Representative

Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi met with Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner-general of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.

Al-Sudairi stressed at the meeting that Saudi Arabia is committed to helping the UNRWA uphold its obligations to defend the rights of Palestinian refugees at the meeting.

Al-Sudairi commended the UNRWA for working to lessen Palestinian suffering.

Lazzarini praised the Kingdom for its efforts in this area in return.

Saudi Arabia has been one of the organization’s greatest donors for the past 20 years, contributing more than $1 billion to the cause.
