RIYADH: The Kingdom will not allow its airspace or territory to be used for any military actions against Iran, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed ‌bin ‌Salman told Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in a phone call on Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia respects the sovereignty of Iran and supports any efforts that would resolve disputes through dialogue in a way that enhances security and stability in the region, Saudi Press Agency reported the crown prince as telling Pezeshkian.

The president expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom for its steadfast position in respecting Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, thanking the crown prince for his efforts to achieve security and stability in the region.

Earlier, Iranian media reported Pezeshkian as saying that Tehran always welcomes any process, ‌within the ‍framework ‍of international ‍law, that prevents war.

Pezeshkian also told Prince Mohammed that the “unity and cohesion” of Islamic countries can guarantee “lasting security, stability and peace in the region.”
