RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) has achieved the first global ranking for the most punctual airports across the world for the third time this year.

The airport managed and operated by Riyadh Airports recorded an on-time performance of 90.41% for June, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

This achievement was featured in the monthly report by Cirium, a leading aviation analytics firm.

Cirium’s reports are based on extensive data from airports and airlines, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and transparency. The insights provided are designed to optimise flight planning and enhance the overall passenger experience.

The KKIA previously secured the first global ranking for on-time flight performance earlier this year, in March and April, in addition to achieving the same top position in 2024.
