RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has concluded a series of volunteer medical programmes in several Yemeni governorates, providing vital healthcare services as part of the Kingdom’s ongoing humanitarian support.
KSrelief conducted the “Nabdh AlSaudia” Volunteer Programme in Al-Mukalla, Hadhramaut, Yemen, from July 6 to 12 with 14 medical volunteers, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
The team performed successful 34 open-heart surgeries, 75 therapeutic, and 52 diagnostic catheterisations.
Meanwhile, KSrelief implemented a volunteer medical project for orthopaedic and joint replacement surgeries in Yemen’s Aden Governorate.
The SPA reported that the program ran from July 4 to 11, 2025, with the participation of 14 volunteers from various medical specialities.
During the campaign, KSrelief’s volunteer medical team successfully conducted 51 orthopaedic and joint-replacement surgeries.
This initiative is part of the ongoing volunteer medical projects aided by Saudi Arabia through the KSrelief to help populations in need and countries around the world.
