JHELUM: Jhelum police recovered five children belonging to the accused Urfan Sharif., who fled to Pakistan following the tragic death of his 10-year-old daughter, Sara, in the United Kingdom.
The ten-year-old girl was found dead at her family’s house in Woking, Surrey on August 10th. Her father and his partner had left the country the day before this tragic incident.
Post-mortem examinations revealed that Sara had sustained ‘multiple and extensive injuries’.
A police official said, “The children who have been taken into custody are Noman, Azlam, Ihsan, Hina, and Bisma Sharif.”
“Sara Sharif’s accused father, Urfan Sharif, is still absconding and raids are being conducted to arrest the hidden accused,” he further stated.
Sara’s grandfather, Muhammad Sharif, claimed to have provided shelter to the children at his residence in the northeastern city of Jhelum.
A substantial police presence was observed outside the residence, stopping the traffic and asking people not to make videos said a witness to international media.
Sara’s grandfather also confirmed that all five children were taken by the Police.
