ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OPHRD), Jawad Sohrab Malik, undertook a significant meeting with CEO Takamol, Ahmad Al-Yamani, at the Takamol head office in Riyadh. The purpose of the meeting was to streamline and simplify the procedures for Pakistanis seeking employment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), as outlined in a press release received on Thursday.
During the meeting, SAPM Sohrab Malik emphasized the crucial need to establish training centers in Pakistan, strategically designed to align the skills of workers with the specific requirements of the Saudi labor market. To enhance efficiency and provide a seamless experience for workers emigrating to Saudi Arabia, he proposed the establishment of one-window solutions in Pakistan.
Sohrab Malik further underscored the significance of expanding Takamol’s presence in Pakistan, aiming to better facilitate Pakistani migrant workers in their pursuit of employment opportunities in KSA. In response, CEO Takamol briefed the SAPM on various initiatives undertaken by the company, including the Skills Verification Program (SVP) and the integration of digital platforms.
The Skills Verification Program (SVP), initially launched in Pakistan, focuses on ensuring the quality and skill proficiency of workers in Saudi Arabia. The program aims to enhance their productivity and improve service quality. Notably, the SVP has expanded its reach to other countries, including India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
SAPM Sohrab Malik expressed his appreciation for the initiatives implemented by Takamol and pledged complete support and coordination for the successful implementation of the Skills Verification Program in Pakistan. The SAPM’s visit signifies a positive step toward strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
