ISLAMABAD: Power-packed half-centuries from Sahibzada Farhan and Hasan Nawaz helped Pakistan post a daunting total of 202 runs once again, setting a stiff target for Bangladesh in the second T20I of the three-match series at Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.
With Saim Ayub opening alongside the returning Farhan, who replaced Fakhar Zaman, Pakistan’s innings began with early drama as Saim was run out cheaply for just 4. But it was Farhan who took charge, delivering a dazzling 74 off 41 balls, laced with clean strokes and aggressive intent.
The momentum only intensified with Hasan Nawaz, who remained unbeaten on 51 off just 26 deliveries, anchoring the latter half of the innings with raw power and fearless hitting. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris chipped in with a brisk 41 off 25 balls, while skipper Salman Ali Agha added a handy 19 to keep the scoreboard ticking.
For Bangladesh, bowlers Hasan Mahmud and Tanzim Hasan Sakib tried to contain the storm, each claiming two wickets, but Pakistan’s top-order dominance proved too strong.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, skipper Salman’s decision mirrored the strategy from the series opener, where his own half-century and Hasan Ali’s five-wicket haul steered Pakistan to a commanding 37-run win.
With the bat firing on all cylinders once again, Pakistan looked set to tighten its grip on the series.
