ABU DHABI: Russian President Vladimir Putin landed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday for a visit as Moscow seeks to reassert itself on the global stage.
Putin will discuss trade, oil, and the Israel-Hamas war during his working visit to the Middle East.
The Kremlin said that Vladimir Putin has arrived in the UAE for a working trip.
Russian state television showed UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other officials greeting President Putin on the runway.
Trade and oil will be on the agenda in the UAE, which is Moscow’s main economic partner in the Arab world, according to a statement released by the Kremlin ahead of the trip.

The Kremlin said that bilateral trade turnover between the two nations reached a record level of $9 billion in 2022.
