KYIV: Local authorities said on Saturday that as many as six people were killed and 14 injured after Russian missiles hit a mail depot in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region.
Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky said on his social media account the Nova Poshta sorting office was hit in Kharkiv. Images from the scene posted on Zelensky’s social media account showed the compound with windows blown out. President Zelensky said that a rescue operation was underway, with emergency services working at the site.

Kharkiv region governor Oleg Sinegubov confirmed that six people were killed and 14 wounded as a result of Russian strike. The governor further said that the private delivery firm was “strictly a civilian place”.

Russia has not yet reacted on the alleged attack, but has previously declined targeting civilians during war in Ukraine.
