ASTANA, Kyrgyzstan: Kyrgyzstan, took a significant step to cure the aligning education system with the implementation of the Russian standards, as reported by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The initiative involves the training of more than a thousand teachers in three open education centers established in Bishkek, Batken, and Karakol last year. These centers focus on Russian language training and education, preparing teachers for the adoption of Russian educational standards.
The project, executed by the Bashkir State Pedagogical University under the direction of the Russian Ministry, aims to familiarize teachers with Russian educational practices. The training is particularly designed for educators who will be involved in the implementation of Russian standards in new schools. The first institutions to adopt these standards are slated to open in Bishkek, Batken, and Karakol, with the teaching process adapted to local characteristics, including Kyrgyzstan’s culture and history.
Salavat Sagitov, the Rector of the Bashkir State Pedagogical University, highlighted the significance of these new schools, emphasizing their role as methodological and educational centers for promoting the Russian language in their respective regions.
The collaboration between Russia and Kyrgyzstan in the education sector took a tangible form on September 1, with the presidents of both countries participating in the capsule-laying ceremony for the construction of the first three Russian-Kyrgyz schools. The broader plan includes the construction of nine schools, accommodating over 11,000 students within five years.
