MOSCOW: Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has arrived in Iran for a series of meetings aimed at bolstering Moscow’s defence cooperation with Tehran, as part of Russia’s efforts to strengthen alliances with nations facing Western isolation.
The visit comes amidst a period of diplomatic activity, with China’s foreign minister visiting Moscow recently, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un conducting a several-day visit to Russia’s Far East.
