Russian, Chinese Leaders to Sign Declaration on ‘New Era’ ties: Kremlin

MOSCOW: Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian leader Vladimir Putin will sign an agreement ushering in a “new era” of relations during talks next week in Moscow, a Kremlin official said on Friday.

“The leaders will sign a joint declaration on strengthening comprehensive collaboration and strategic relations entering a new era,” foreign policy advisor of the Kremlin Yuri Ushakov said in comments by Russian news agencies.

Russia lauds Chinese President’s stance on Ukraine

The Kremlin on Friday appreciated China’s “restrained” position on Ukraine before the next week’s summit between China’s President Xi Jinping and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

“Of course, the Ukraine conflict will be discussed. We highly value the restrained, considered position of the Chinese leadership on this issue,” the Kremlin’s foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov said in remarks by Russian news agencies.
