DAMASCUS, Syria: Russia’s air force conducted airstrikes on two militant sites outside the Al-Tanf area in Syria, according to the Russian state news agency RIA.

The strikes targeted militants who had recently left the vicinity of the Al-Tanf zone, which is near the border with Jordan and houses a US military base.

Captain Oleg Ignasyuk, deputy head of the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria, stated that Russian forces identified and attacked the militant locations. The exact coordinates were not disclosed. These strikes underline ongoing tensions and power dynamics in the region where both US and Russian interests overlap.
