KYIV: Ukraine reported on Friday that Russia had initiated a fresh round of airstrikes in the central and eastern regions of the country, resulting in four fatalities and numerous injuries.

Ukraine’s Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said that a Russian aerial bomb struck Odradokamyanka, a town in the southern Kherson region, claiming the lives of three civilians, including two women and a man. Additionally, four local residents sustained injuries in the attack.

Klymenko condemned the airstrike, calling it a “war crime.” Odradokamyanka is situated approximately 60 kilometers (about 40 miles) upstream from Kherson city, located on the west bank of the Dnipro River.

In Kryvyi Rig, a central city and the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelensky, a missile attack targeted a police building that left a police officer dead.

Klymenko had previously reported this incident, stating, “Rescue teams from the State Emergency Service successfully extricated three more individuals from the debris, all of whom are in serious condition.”

Photographs from the scene depicted smoke billowing from the wreckage of the building as rescue workers transported an injured person to an ambulance. Local officials in Kryvyi Rig confirmed that over 40 individuals sustained injuries in the attack.
