MOSCOW: Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov declared on Friday that Russia is prepared to promptly respond should Washington deploy short- and medium-range missiles in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
Interfax reported Ryabkov’s statement, where he emphasized Moscow’s vigilance regarding US missile advancements and potential placements, affirming readiness to swiftly make requisite political choices for a corresponding response.
Additionally, Interfax noted Ryabkov’s mention of ongoing communication between Moscow and Washington concerning a possible prisoner exchange.
