KREMLIN, Russia: At a Press conference, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov addressed the recent election of Iran’s new president-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian.
Peskov expressed Russia’s respect for the decision of the Iranian people and conveyed best wishes for Pezeshkian’s success.
Highlighting the positive dynamics in Iran-Russia relations, Peskov emphasized Moscow’s intention to continue its close partnership with Tehran across various sectors. This sentiment was reinforced during a phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President-elect Pezeshkian, where both leaders underscored their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation.
According to Iranian media, Putin congratulated Pezeshkian on his election victory and expressed hope that the strong relations between the two nations would continue under the new Iranian administration.
