ASTANA: Russian president has expressed confidence that the ties between Tehran and Moscow will be strengthened regardless of the outcome of Iran’s elections.
Iran’s interim President Mohammad Mokhber met and held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin today on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Astana.
In this meeting, President Putin expressed confidence that relations between the two nations will be strengthened regardless of the results of Iran’s elections, local media reported.
In a statement, Russia’s foreign ministry said that the two countries have been negotiating a comprehensive bilateral cooperation agreement showing the “unprecedented upswing” in the bilateral relations.
