KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, held a meeting with Russian Ambassador Dmitry Zhirnov, where they discussed the upcoming Moscow format meeting on Afghanistan. During the meeting, Ambassador Zhirnov extended an invitation to Foreign Minister Muttaqi to participate in the next Moscow meeting.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zhirnov shared details about the forthcoming meeting and emphasized the importance of Afghanistan’s participation in the Moscow format discussions on Afghanistan.
In response to the invitation, Foreign Minister Muttaqi expressed his gratitude to Russia and recognized the significant role that the Moscow format plays in fostering coordination among regional stakeholders.
