MOSCOW: Local officials said on Wednesday that Russian air defences downed two drones in Moscow region.
According to the Mayor of the city air defence personnel downed one drone in the city and another over the Moscow region. In a statement via social media, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that air defence shot down one drone in Mozhaisky district, second in the city.

Earlier, local officials said on Tuesday that three people have been killed and several others wounded in a Russian strike in eastern Ukraine. Authorities confirmed that Russian artillery targeted two villages near the Lyman.
In a statement via social media chief of Ukraine’s Donetsk region, Pavlo Kyrylenko said that three persons were killed and one injured in Torske, and another one was injured in Zakitne Donetsk area.
Another official stated that the Russian strikes first targeted Torske at around 6:50 pm and then Zakitne a half-hour after the first strike. It confirmed that three people including two women and one man were killed in the strikes.
