MOSCOW: Russia has claimed that it has destroyed 4 Ukrainian drones overnight in two western regions, local media reported on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Defence said that the drones were destroyed over the Oryol region and Belgorod region. Since Kyiv launched its counter-offensive in June, Moscow has weathered waves of drone assaults that have infrequently damaged several buildings, including in the capital. However, Russian authorities have downplayed their significance.

One assault at around 9:00 pm by two unmanned aerial vehicles had been “thwarted”, the Russian Defence Ministry said on social media. It added, “The Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed over Oryol and Belgorod region by air Defence systems,”.
