Kyiv’s military authorities said on the Telegram messaging app that more than 20 drones targeted the capital.
Earlier, it said Iranian-made Shahed drones attacked the capital.
Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the preliminary information suggested there had been no injuries or deaths from the Russian attack and that medics have been working at the sites of the strikes in the Solomyanskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital.
Governor of the Kyiv region, Oleskiy Kuleba, said that the drone attacks damaged infrastructure and private buildings.
According to a preliminary information report, at least two people were wounded.
Kuleba said they would overcome everything as “terrorist Russia continues its war against the civilian population.”
Solomyanskyi is a district in the western part of Kyiv and is a busy transport city, home to train stations and one of the city’s 2 passenger international airports.
