ISLAMABAD: The price of 24 karats per tola gold recorded an increase of Rs4,500 on Tuesday, reaching an all-time high at Rs182,700 as compared to its sale at Rs178,200 on Monday.
The rates for the 10-gram 24-karat gold also witnessed higher by Rs 3,858 to Rs 156,636 from Rs152,778 while the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold recorded an increase and reached up to Rs 143,583 from Rs140,046, according to reports from the jeweler’s market.
Meanwhile, the rates of per tola silver also increased by Rs30 to Rs2,050 while the price of ten-gram silver went up by Rs25.72 to Rs1757.54.
According to reports rates of gold increased by $12 to $1,810 against its sale at $1,798 in the international market.
Increase in Gold Prices
Like Petroleum prices, rates of gold also affect the sentiments of the market in Pakistan. The recent surge in the price of gold for the last couple of years has made the masses worried.
People from the lower and middle classes are even more worried and consider it a major hurdle in arranging matrimonial and engagement activities.
