ALULA: The Royal Commission for AlUla has signed a partnership agreement with the National Archives of Britain, to strengthen cooperation and facilitate joint research in areas such as archiving, cultural preservation and digitization, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

This cooperation aligns with AlUla’s vision and the broader goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which wants to promote cultural development and partnerships at the global level.

The pact covers five main areas: digitizing and publishing archival collections, training and scientific exchanges, holding exhibitions and events, and carrying out research programs focused on archival content.

The National Archives will provide digitization and archival preservation expertise, boosting AlUla’s capacity to manage and showcase its rich historical resources.

Initiatives under this collaboration include joint research projects, digital archiving, and cultural exhibitions. The program also aims to preserve and collect historical documents, photographs, and videos from AlUla’s community, offering more profound insights into the cultural heritage of the region.
