ISLAMABAD: A number of unidentified and abandoned dead bodies were found on the roof of Nishtar hospital Multan on Friday.
Local media reported the appalling incident in which several dead bodies were put on the roof of the building just to putrefy. According to the initial investigation, these bodies were given by the police to the hospital administration for conducting experiments by the medical students. These bodies were meant to be used for educational purposes but were thrown on the roof to be eaten by birds.
Spokesperson for Nishtar Hospital, Dr. Sajjad Masood issued a statement regarding the horrifying incident to state that strict action will be taken against those who were involved in this inhumane act. He said that committees have been formed to further investigate the matter. He said, “There were only four bodies found on the roof.”
Pictures and videos circulating on social media show a different picture as a large number of rotten human bodies can be seen in it. After the news surfaced on social media, Additional Chief Secretary South of Punjab Saqib Zafar also formed an inquiry committee.
