MADRID: Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo marked the birthday of his fiancée Georgina Rodríguez by gifting her a £45,000 Rolex watch, according to posts shared by the couple on social media.

Rodríguez, who recently turned 32, posted images on Instagram showing the Rolex Lady-Datejust, featuring a red ombré dial, diamond bezel and gold strap.

The watch was revealed from Rolex’s signature green box.

‘Woman of my life’

Ronaldo paid tribute to Rodríguez with a birthday message on Instagram, calling her “the woman of my life”.

He shared a photograph of the couple during a dinner date to mark the occasion.

Their children also joined the celebrations, presenting Rodríguez with a handmade sign reading: “Happy Birthday Mama. Te Amo Mucho [I love you a lot].”

Rodríguez describes herself on Instagram as a mother of six. She and Ronaldo share daughters Alana and Bella, and twins Eva María and Mateo, who were born via surrogacy.

Ronaldo also has a son, Cristiano Jr, from a previous relationship. Bella’s twin brother, Angel, died shortly after birth.

Luxury collection

In her birthday post, Rodríguez also displayed her 30-carat engagement ring, estimated to be worth £2.6 million.

The ring was first revealed when the couple announced their engagement in August.

The Rolex gift adds to Rodríguez’s extensive watch collection, which she has previously showcased on social media.

Media reports estimate the collection’s value at around $2.4 million (£1.7 million), including multiple Rolex and Cartier watches, as well as a Richard Mille timepiece.

Engagement story

Ronaldo proposed to Rodríguez in early 2025 after eight years together.

Speaking to British broadcaster Piers Morgan last year, Ronaldo said Rodríguez was unconcerned about the size or value of the engagement ring.

“One thing that I love, she didn’t care about the ring,” Ronaldo said in the interview. “I told her I want you and I want to marry you.”

He added that he became emotional during the proposal, saying he had “tears in my eyes”, despite describing himself as “not a romantic guy”.

Rodríguez and Ronaldo met in 2016, when she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid, according to previous interviews.

She has since become a prominent social media personality, with more than 70 million followers on Instagram.

Her life and relationship with Ronaldo were the subject of a Netflix documentary series, I Am Georgina, released in 2022.
