It said that the rocket attack resulted in no damage to the base or coalition property. CENTCOM spokesman Joe Buccino said that attacks of this kind place Coalition troops and the civilian at risk and undermine the stability and security of Syria. It said that members of the Kurdish-led and U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces had visited the site from which the rockets were fired, and found a third that was not fired.

According to AFP, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK based group, alleged pro-Iranian groups of the attack a day following Iranians marked the 3rd anniversary of the assassination of a top general in a US drone attack in Iraq, Baghdad.  No group claimed responsibility for the attack in eastern Syria.
