ISLAMABAD: Travelers have been notified of continuous lane closures and roadworks that may affect their journey on Wednesday on the M-1 highway, which serves as the primary route between Peshawar and Islamabad.

The NHMP Public Relations Officer for the Wali Interchange (KM 450-451) has notified that northbound traffic on the M-1 will experience lane closures at the Wali Interchange due to roadwork. This will impact the second and third lanes, potentially causing congestion and delays.

For the Swabi Interchange (KM 422-422.400), southbound traffic approaching the interchange will encounter lane closures affecting the first and second lanes. Roadwork activities in this area may lead to slower traffic flow and more travel time.

In the Swabi Interchange (KM 424-424.900) area, both northbound and southbound traffic will face lane closures, impacting the first and second lanes in both directions. Roadwork in this section may result in temporary delays and disruptions to traffic flow.

Travelers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, allowing extra time for expected delays, and should take alternative routes if necessary. The NHMP PRO highlighted the importance of staying alert and following traffic instructions to enjoy smooth and safe travel. —APP
