BEIJING: The domestic road comedy “Godspeed” continue to maintain its top spot on the Chinese daily box office chart, according to figures released by the China Movie Figures Information Network on Friday.
The movie portrays the tragic tale of a family of four who unintentionally travels by truck, experiencing joy and sorrow. On the seventh day it was screened, the film brought in roughly 30.18 million yuan (or 4.37 million dollars) in income.
The “Top Gun”-inspired film “Born to Fly” came in second place, bringing in over 20.9 million yuan per day. “All These Years,” a home romance, came behind it and earned roughly 9.13 million yuan on Thursday.-APP
