KARACHI, Pakistan: Mohammad Rizwan’s scintillating century guided Multan Sultans to a commanding total of 234-3 against Karachi Kings in the third match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 at the National Bank Stadium on Saturday.

The wicketkeeper-batter remained unbeaten on 105 off 63 balls, which included nine boundaries and five sixes.

Rizwan’s innings was the highlight of the Sultans’ batting performance, as they set a challenging target of 235 runs for Karachi Kings, who need 235 runs to secure victory.

Rizwan was supported by Michael Bracewell, who played a quick-fire knock of 44 not out off just 17 balls, including five fours and three sixes.

Kamran Ghulam also contributed with a 19-ball 36, helping Multan maintain their momentum.

Karachi Kings’ bowlers, including Hasan Ali, Asif Afridi, and Khushdil Shah, each claimed a wicket, but none were able to break the partnership between Rizwan and Bracewell.

The pair added an impressive 89 runs in just 32 balls towards the end of the innings, further boosting their side’s total.

Multan’s innings got off to a solid start, with Rizwan and Shai Hope putting together 55 runs in the first five overs.

However, Hope was dismissed for just eight by Hasan Ali in the sixth over.

Rizwan then formed a brief 27-run stand with Usman Khan, who made 19 off 15 balls before falling to Afridi.

Rizwan’s key partnership came with Ghulam, as the duo added 63 runs in six overs.

Ghulam’s explosive 36 off 19 balls, which featured five fours and a six, was cut short by Abbas Afridi in the 15th over.

Despite the middle-order falls, Rizwan remained at the crease and formed an unbroken partnership with Bracewell to finish the innings on a high note.

Their stand ensured Multan posted a formidable total of 234-3 in their 20 overs.

For Karachi Kings, Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, and Khushdil Shah were the lone wicket-takers, but they couldn’t stop the Sultans’ strong batting performance.
